PLANTATION SHUTTERS WITH A HIDDEN SPLIT

One (not so well known) feature that becomes possible when you choose to have hidden control rods is the option to “split” a louver section. This provides a couple of unique benefits but first…

What is a hidden control rod? Well, it’s just a specification choice where instead of the shutters having a visible, front mounted vertical rod to control the angle of the louvers on each panel, we remove this rod and introduce a discreet alternative mechanism to the side frame of each shutter and reposition it to the back face. With our White Label Collection of imported shutters, this alternative mechanism is concealed completely within the side stile of the shutter.

The height of a shutter will dictate how practical or suitable this option is but, in essence, if your shutter panel would normally have a physical mid rail then it could also have a split louver section instead. It is simply a way of providing different louver angles between the top & bottom of the same shutter without needing that physical rail.

A height reference is taken against the window where the split would be most helpfully placed. When we make the shutters, we then divide the control at that point. A simple but elegant way to maximise light but maintain the most uncluttered view.
